Every platform at once

Pin the fields you post to most — they are remembered on this device.

Limits are checked against public platform documentation and change occasionally — verify anything business-critical.

    Why posts get cut off

Every network counts characters differently. X weighs links as 23 characters no matter how long the URL is, and counts most non-Latin characters double. Instagram allows 2,200 characters in a caption but hides everything after roughly 125 behind a “more” link. YouTube accepts a 100-character title but search results clip it near 60. The limit that matters is rarely the one in the help docs — it is the point where a reader stops seeing your words.

The same gap shows up in images. A 1080 × 1080 square looks right in the feed, loses its edges as a 9:16 story, and is cropped again by the buttons layered over a Reel. This tool shows both at once: how much of your text survives the fold, and how much of your image survives the crop, before you publish.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is my text sent anywhere?

No. All counting, cropping and analysis happens in your browser with JavaScript. There is no server to send it to, and images you drop in are read locally and never uploaded.

Why does my character count differ from X?

X uses weighted counting: any link counts as 23 characters, and characters outside the Latin, Cyrillic-adjacent and basic symbol ranges — Chinese, Japanese, Korean, emoji — count as two. This tool implements the same algorithm, so the number here matches the composer.

    How accurate are the limits?

They are taken from current public platform documentation and composer behaviour. Networks adjust limits without notice, so treat anything business-critical as worth a quick check in the app itself.

    What is a safe zone?

On vertical video, the platform layers its own interface over your footage — the profile name at the top, captions and buttons at the bottom. The safe zone is the middle region that stays visible. Keep text and logos inside it.

    Does it work offline?

Yes. Once the page has loaded it needs no connection, and your text and preferences are stored on your own device.
